ACT Testing

Cramming for your ACT will only cause increased test anxiety, but Preparing for your ACT can be rewarding and can help reduce test anxiety. The more prepared you are, the better you will feel on test day.
There are several options available in preparing for your ACT. It is probably best to use a variety of methods.

- Illinois Central College ACT Review Classes are available at ICC for a fee of $75 for general prep and an additional $25 for writing prep https://www.icc.edu/actReview/sessionDates.asp
- DHS High School students have access to ACT Online Prep at https://actonlineprep.act.org/ePrep/browserInfo.do -- All Juniors are issued account access cards in April 2010 and these accounts are valid until April 2011. Incoming Juniors for the 2010-2011 school year will be issued access cards at the beginning of the school year.

College Readiness Benchmark Scores
A Benchmark score is the minimum score needed on an ACT subject-area test to indicate a 50% chance of obtaining a B or higher or about a 75% chance of obtaining a C or higher in the corresponding credit-bearing college courses.
